i am an athelete training for football at the college level, i read that zma would be really beneficial. i was thinking replacing a casein protein supplement for zma.. is this a good idea? keep in mind im not lifting for bulk necessarily, im lifting for strength with a lot of combination lifts and explosion style lifts. so this is my stack right now... please critique me on it ON 100% Whey GS opti-men multivitamin (animal pak is just too expensive and too many pills) sci-fit glutamine powder ON ZMA Universal Shock Therapy Universal Storm efa's (borage, flax, fish oil) ON BCAA 1000 -maybe musclemilk or ON 100% casein- if i should use this with the zma * i might remove the bcaa, im thinkin ill get enough from my protein (let me know if i should keep it or not)

the biggest thing I noticed about ZMA is that I got way better sleep. I was out like a rock, always felt refreshed in the morning. I felt like I recovered better, but as far as balancing out hormone levels, I couldn't tell

If you take optimen then zma won't do anything for you since it has 30mg of zinc in it. You only need it if you're deficient. And the better sleep is from magnesium. ZMA is one of the biggest rip offs in the supplement industry.

yes the better sleep I experienced was from the magnesium, and like I said it doesn't do much besides that, odw77 is right its not really worth it...thats why I only used one bottle of it
