She said this shortly after our lips parted. She had that starry "I just wet myself" look in her eyes... yanno--
So I felt like I should say something smooth, carry on the persona. But no, the best I could come up with, was
" Thanks. "
I felt almost as if I had ruined it, but a swift hand-to-face-to-behind the ear-touch saved grace.
So... what could I have said-- err, more importantly, what should I have said ?

I thought you was quoting shakespeare...then after 5 minutes realised this was real.
To be quite honest it could have gone a LOT worse, dont think saying something cool will impress her, maybe it will, but then again, maybe it wont, maybe youd say something, and shed look at you like "the hell?" or "oooookkaaaayyyy"
Much much worse than simply saying thanks.
Of course, you could have simply stated she was a good kisser too.
Its kind of like the
"I love you"
"thankyou"
youre meant to say you love them back-same with the kissing deal.
And before you get slapped, its the same deal with sex too, even if its a lie (lol)
