How long have you've been training with deadlifts? another question is how long have you trained with low reps?

Going anywhere below 5 reps and not building your way up intellegiently will place great amount of stress on your joints, tendons, muscles ect ect.

also did you do deadlifts 2 days in a row?

Wasn't calling you dumb at all bud. Not directly to you but just logically stating generally you need to work your way to low reps that's what I meant when I said intellegiently. For an example I'm just worried some 8-10 rep pumper will jump off to anywere below 5 reps.

Usually I'd suggests about 6 months of training something like3x8 for 6 months then  5x5 or 4x6 for another 6 months then move on to something like 3x3 for another 6 months and from there you can max out if you wanted to.

I asks how long have you been training for low reps.

Another thing is who's telling you to add 10-20 pounds. That's to much of a jump. You'll quickly plateau that way and possibly leading to an injury. You need to ease into weights and build momentum as the poundages get heavier and heaver.

Also I wouldn't suggests doing squats or deads or vice versa after 24-48 hrs with low reps. Just isn't time for your lower back and legs to fully recover or be fresh before you hit one of the 2.

So that your posterior chain has a chance to recover I would suggests mon squat, wed bench, fri deads or mon deads, wed bench, fri squats.

giving you enough time for your back and legs to be fresh before hitting deads or squats.

hope this helps bud

Stallone- I know you didn't have too much experience when you first showed up here, and you haven't been around here that long. Sounds to me like you really need to lower the weight and concentrate more on good form to avoid injuries- The stronger your back is, the better you'll get at avoiding injuries, and the most basic step towards real strength is perfect form.
While your form might seem okay to you, keep in mind that it can take your body more than a few months of gradually increasing the weight before the mind/muscle connection can really be made- You're training your nervous system here as well as your muscles.
Also- Whoever told you to increase the weight by that much each week isn't really giving very safe advice- It's actually up to your body how much weight you should add, not some formula someone gives you. When you're trying to get into powerlifting, you definitely need to have that mind/muscle connection. When you've got some more experience with lifting under your belt, you'll notice a serious mental connection with your muscles, where you'll almost know for sure whether or not you should add more weight in a given week.
I believe what Purenatural was saying- and if I'm wrong, I'm definitely saying it myself- Is that you have to lift with your head, and not your ego. Smarter, not harder.

to me my back is the strongest part on me and its the first time ive ever hurt it
thanks for the imput i'll keep in mind to lift smarter than i was i thought i was but there is always room for improvement
