ok so this weekend while playing some football with some buddies i happened to injry my knee. there was no scrape or antying but it was the sharpest pain(the ground was frozen solid) and it just got numb. when i got home it was itching really bad and just got worse. within 2 hours it became the size of a grapefruit. i saw a doctor who said i tore my bursa sac. how long do u guys think thisll keep me from squatting????

Depends on the degree of the tear.

Squatting? HA!, no time soon im afraid.

Itll take around 4-6 weeks..if not more till ure knee is stable enough to resume squats, but again, if it is a bad tear, possible longer.
 
But im not expert so you really need to consult an ortho. Severe tears might need keyhole surgery.

only hour physio can gradiate this and he will assess you day per day really......no general answer here.

U kno just take the days off..at least u can still do upper body, I'd just be careful with it, do light weight.
