Hi, I dont know where else to post but Ill post here.
I am just starting out, and havent done any serious weightlifting before just the occasional pushups, situps, weight, etc.

Anyway, My Left peck sticks out nearly an Inch more then my right, and this is really noticeable because my left peck only sticks out just over an inch as is.
Someone told me that im still growing (im 16) and that theyll probally meet up sooner or later

But can anyone reccomend anyways to quickly make only my right peck grow, or anything. Thanks

Well Maka, if for now, you're just doing pushups as your only chest exercise, then there's really not too much you can do to increase the size of your left pectorial. Though once you start doing proper exercises with free-weights/dumbells (not machines), then I would maybe consider using a heavier weight on your left side and a slightly lesser weight on your right to improve your lesser developed peck. Do it for a month or so, then see if your left side has made any improvements. Once you get the size of both pecs into proportion, then use the 'same weight' dumbells for both sides.

For a range of different chest exercises you can do, check this site out:

I agree with dimyd insomuch as there are ways to isolate just one pec, but remember-you're also hitting one set of deltoids and triceps more than the other at the same time, and they might not be assymetrical to begin with.

You might also try one half of a high-pulley crossover (have to really work on keeping your waist and shoulders completely stationary -no rotation), and maybe one side of a pec deck at a time.

Beyond that, like dimyd said, being that you are just starting out, and doing only pushups for now, this all may be too much fine-tuning too soon.

When I started out, I too had noticeable assymmetries on my left (non-dominant) side -biceps, calves, and latissimus.  But after six months of hitting everything equally, I'm starting to notice the assymetry shifting to THAT side now.  What the hell? Smile

Yes, that's me in my avatar, and NO, I don't look like that today. That was taken back in Jan '07, and I lost most of that progress when I slacked off last year. I'm on my way back, tho, and I'm using that photo for inspiration.

The only thing you have to think about when isolating a muscle to make it bigger, in your case even it out with the other one, is that you really cant isolate a muscle. I mean when working the chest, which ever exercise you do, you will still be working another muscle as well. Like if you do a chest press with dumbbells and make the weight bigger on one side, then your tricep and shoulder are more than likely going to get bigger on that side as well. Then you will still be asymetrical, just now with your arm and shoulder.
