Drum roll please! drdrdrdrdrdrdrdrdr I benched the barbell for the first time ever today! even added the 2.5 lb sissy weights onto each end. Then I also tried the incline bench press bar, but only got it all the way up once. Next week, I swear I am going to squat that bar! I find it odd that I can bench the bar but not squat it. but my legs look really strong and tough while my chest is puny and weak. How is this possible? I am also proud of the fact that I learned to use the assisted dip/pullup machine today. Every day I am learning something new. now that is cool.

I just started lifting weights in January so I am still kindof a noob. I do feel a bit less confident squatting cause there is so much more stability work involved, but I really love the feeling of accomplishment from that exercise. I stay in the cage for safety. I am 36yo, female, 147lbs, bf 29%. I am also following the bffm nutrition thing by tom venuto so I will lose this old fat soon and I want these muscles nice and firm as I melt.

when i started out, my squats hardly went up at all, because every week i squatted a little differently. (due to not knowing the correct form) but i got the form sorted, and for the next few weeks my squats went up 10-20lbs each week, untill it caught up with my other lifts. so stick with it, and you'll of reached your goals in no time.
