which supplement best for maintenance?<-- no lifting for a period of time - Tuesday, July 26, 2005 1:06 AM
ive got a surgery coming soon and im probably going to be off lifting for a week or two for recovery. i was looking for a solution to maintain if not all, most of my muscles/strength. last time i was off for 3 weeks, i lost 25 pound on my bench!!
i read this article claiming that essential amino acid could actually keep mass without lifting.  http://www.animalpak.com/html/article_details.cfm?section=diet&id=192

this is the only source ive found on this topic so i wanna know what you guys think about it. true/false?

by essential amino acid that would be something like BCAA right?

i was also wondering if glutamine is a good/better choice too.

what would you do if you were in my situation?(supplement choices)

thanks
