which routine is better? (very small difference) - Sunday, August 31, 2008 9:33 AM ( #1 )
Ok i was gonna try mark rippetoes starting strength routine but for my own reasons i decided to try my own 3 day split. I kno there isnt a big difference between the two workouts below But i would like your ideas and criticism.

1. Monday - Legs, biceps, forearms(or shoulders instead of forearms?)
Wednesday - Chest, shoulder(or forearms in stead of shoulders?)
Thursday - 2 mile run
Friday - Back,Triceps, squats
sat/sun - rest but a 2 mile run on one of the two days

2.Monday - Legs, triceps, forearms(or shoulders instead of forearms?) (abs)
Wednesday - Chest, shoulder(or forearms in stead of shoulders?) (abs)
thursday - 2 mile run
Friday - Back,biceps, squats (abs)
sat/sun - rest but a 2 mile run on one of the two days

all i switched was the bicep and tricep exercises.  Thanks for your help

Just a word of advice, try to convey your thoughts without starting 10 different threads.

The Starting Strength model is far superior to this routine you seemingly made up off the top of your head.

yea i kno. Im sorry about all the threads. I just wanna get a good routine but i should have just put it in one of my other 325057985728 threads.

i cant really do the starting strength routine though because of my equipment. To do squats i have  to disconnect my bench which takes 15 minutes then move my bench to the side and use my bench  press rack to do squats. Then i would have to reconnect it which takes 15 mins. I cant go to a gym because of school and then getting to the gym.

And i cant actually add weight every week. All i have is 2 35lb plates, 2 25lb plates,2 10 lb weights, and 2 5lb plates.

ig i could go to a gym it would be so much easier :[

Then I would recommend going to a gym.  If weightlifting is important to you, than you will find a way to access good equipment.
