what to look for in a protein powder

im sure this has been posted a million times but what should i be looking for in a protein powder? im not looking for particualr brands but rather calories ext ext im on a cut by the way

you should look at your protein powder like u would food. u dont want a bunch of sugar, u want natural ingredients and u want a good balance of protein, carbs, and fat. if u are on a cut i know that isopure protein has 0 carbs which might be appealing to u. u also want to see if the powder has any extra "goodies" such as glutamine and bcaa's. these really add to the affectiveness of the protein. personally i stick with ON protein. natural,, good taste, plus glutamine and bcaas. i still supplement the powder with extra glutamine and a i take bcaa caps as well

High protein/ serving, good amount of BCAA, most whey will have like 100-120 calories per serving, depending obviously on the protein content. If your on a cut then like daniel said, stay away from high carb, sugar and fats in protein powder, you should get those from real food sources and in the correct amounts you need. Again, the protein is supplemental, your real dieting comes from the whole foods you eat.
