i was just wondering what type of milk you guys use to bulk? 1%, 2% whole?? ive been told that whole milk has way to much fat but that could either be good or bad. what do you guys think?

it's mostly saturated fat. I myself try to avoid that like the plague.

Different people react differently to milk.  If you can get it in the raw, non-pasteurized go that route.  If you have money, Almond milk is great, as is goat.  I use non-fat, or 1% personally because I am an Endo/Meso, if you are an ecto the whole milk is probably fine as far as gaining weight goes, but other health issues related to saturated fat may come up.

yeah milk is excellent post-workout with some whey because the carbs can spike insulin, it has extra protein, and others other nutrients like calcium.

i've had the flu and was avoiding milk so i was taking my whey with water and it didn't taste as good. then i googled it and the whole time i've thought that milk increased mucous but a few studies said that although milk looks like mucous it's just a myth and it's safe to take while sick.

bingo also chocolate milk has the perfect ratio of carbs to protein allowing the greatest absorption...

hmm didn't realize that until just now.

doesn't chocolate milk have it's downfalls though because of it's flavor?

Who doesnt love chocolate milk?

or are you talking about mixing it with protein? I would imagine you could mix C.milk with vanilla/chocolate protein and it would taste fine.

no i wasn't talking about the taste i think the taste is excellent.

i've mixed it with chocolate whey before and it just tasted like a regular chocolate shake.

i thought that where it was chocolate it would have something in it that would make it less healthy.

cocoa is good, Downed 32 oz of whole milk chocolate milk the other day, a bit too much 880 calories.  Just be careful some brands use sugar and some use HFCS, and I always opt for the more natural kind.

I would've guessed all of 'em use HFCS.  Seems that shlt is in just about every sweet product.
