First let me say I already know how to use the formulas to get an idea of what I need, and that estimation is probably where I'll start regardless of the replies here. I'm making this post purely because I'm curious what you guys would do if you were me, and why. So the question is, how many kcals would you use for a bulk? The goal is, predictably, optimal LMM gains with low BF gains. The Harris-Benedict formula suggests 3163-3300 per day, with 161g protein. Relevant info: ~159lb ~11%bf ~5'11" 27 yrs old Full body resistance training 3 days/week. LISS 20-45min, 3-4 days/week. Otherwise pretty sedentary. So what would you do?

Depends on what you consider optimal range. You could probably gain weight with less calories than that and keep any bf gain down to a minimum, or you could do a little more than that and gain more muscle, but with a little bit of fat.
