I was wondering what weight gaining forumals anybody out there has tried, im wanting to get at least 4000 calories a day and preferbly less protein in it because im alrdy taking protein supplements and extra protein isnt going to help me (im consuming approx 220 grams a day and i weigh 144) any comments wuld b appreciated

I tried that GNC weight gainer 2000 or whatever.  I ended up sittin on the toilet bout 30 minutes after I took it, so I only used it a couple times.

If I had to choose, I'd go with Cytogainer.  Less sugar, better quality. 

You can also just skip the weight gainers and make yourself a regular shake with 'added' ingredients or try adding 1% milk to your shakes for a protein and calorie boost.

Many of those weight gainers (not all) are just overloaded with protein (can't use it?  poop it out) and sugars.

Plus, once you stop taking them, you basically force yourself into a cutting diet.  I didn't stick with it.  Because I didn't want a protein shake AND a weight gainer.

Just ended up eating more food in general and adding milk to my shakes for the extra calories I needed per day.

I've takin GNC 1850,Twin Lab Mass Fuel, and ON's Serious Mass, out of the 3 I perfer the ON's Serious Mass, and it was the most affordable one out of the 3, I only paid $28 for a 12lb bag.  All I take is 1/2 serving a day, sometimes 3/4 a serving on workout days.

Ive also found that many places on the web have thier labels wrong, on the web it says serious mass has 40 grams surgar, when it really only has 20 grams per serving. it also has a little bit of glutamine and creatine not alot, but its enuff to be benificial if your already takin creatine and glutamine.

Do you mean adding in the milk with the water , marc? I thought that you shouldnt use milk with your post workout shake beacause milk digests slowly and you want a fast protein synthesis, correct?

Even though Milk is 80% casein and 20% whey, that doesnt mean its gonna intefer with your muscles recieving the whey that came from your powder

How much are you eating now?

Why not get the rest from enhancing your current shake and more food in general as Marc said?

For my MRD I combine Whey for protein with Gain Fast which is pretty high in carbs and low in protein
Universal Gain Fast at under 20 bucks for a 5 pound container says it gives you over 50 scoops at 9g protein 43g carbs and .8g fat (scoop cost ~0.40 per)

I add some fat to that either with milk and flax or other...almond butter...omegas etc
