im bulking right now, and i kind of find it hard to gain weight.  I have cut out the daily jog in order to try to keep at the weight i possibly can.  I was looking into buying some weight gainer from GNC, is that stuff any good ?  I ve known people who have trie it and didnt gain any weight.  Is it worth the money ?

i know alot of people it didn't work for, not only that but if u do gain weight on it once your off it youll lose most of it becuase it takes alot of caloires to maintain muscle

oh ok.  Im just going to stick with eating alot of meat, fish , veggies , and fruits and see how it goes.

what dose your diet consists of?
how much cals do you take in a day?
how many grams of prot, fat, and carbs do you get a day?
are you getting enough sleep? (8 hours)
what does you pre/post workout shake/meal look like?

***you need to be able to answer theses questions if you really wana gain weight

to answer your question about the weight gainer, i find that it comes in handy as a meal replacement when i don't have time to cook or am in a hurry. Of course i don't take as much as it recomends i take around 1/3 of the serving and thats around 500 cals.

GNC should have other non expensive gainers as well. Look into ON Pro-Complex gainer, Cytogainer, and Pro-lab Nlarge2

my diest right now consists of as many carbs and calories i can get.  As of right now i think im taking about 3,500 to 4,000 cals a day.  I am taking as little amount of protein that i need for recovery.  Im trying not to take as much protein becasue i find it hard to not burn fat.  Maybe 75-80 grams of protein a day.  i know for a fact that i am not getting enough sleep i get about 6-7 hours a night on weekends about 10 hours.  Pre workout i eat plenty carbs and use no xplode.  And post workout i drink about 55 grams of protein immediately after.  I hope this helps answer your questions.  Thankyou for the help.

that sounds like alot of cals, whats your weight?
as for the protien, it is thermo so it increases matobalism, with would help you burn fat. you should know your bodytype aswell, ecto(skinny,), endo(overweight, chubby), or muso(muscular). Diffrent bodytypes have diff needs.
before i go into that whats you goal, gain weight, lose weight, burn fat, stay the same and get ripped?
as for your post workout try and lower that proten amount to around 30 grams, and get 40-60 grams of high glymic carb(banana is great for that.) You need the HGC's becasue it helps with recovery.
you should specefy your diet more, it would help if you list what you eat for each meal.

as my body type goes i think i am maybe ectp/muso. My weight right now is 140 and it seems like i cant get over 140. I Play football and it would help to have some added weight.  My goal weight is about 155.  But i want to be lean 155, mostly muscle, not a chubby 155.

sometimes a platue can be becasue of your training is not correct, if you haven't changed your excersises in the past 4 weeks. your cals seems to be alright for your weight.i used to play football too, in my team we have a workout program for each person. i was moree strenght orriented and less size oriemnted.

i dont think that my probelm is lack or changing excercises becasue im on the max-ot workout and it changes excercises every 1-2 weeks.

if i remember correctly max-ot is 5 reps and 5 sets. thats more geared towards strenght and power then size. For size you would want to stay between 8-12 reps and 3-4 sets. But if your getting good results stick with it. Power and strenght is much more important then size on the field.
as long as your seeing 1 pound of muscle gain a week your heading in the right direction, if you stop gaining raise your cals.

ok yea the max-ot workout is anywhere from 2-3 sets each excercise with 4-6 reps.  and you do 6-9 sets per each muscle group.  Ok ill try upping the carbs, i have gained an inch on my arms since i began the max-ot workout (3 weeks ago) .  And i have gotten overall stronger.  thats exactly is what im looking for is more strength, i play cornerback and moslty free-safety.

right now im lifting for strength for football.  But when its over im going to lift for size (what girls like the most) :p i appreciate the help alot.  keep giving me advice and ill keep listening, you can never learn to much :)

corner, now thats a position i now something about, i played 3 years varsity. do some full rotation leg raises, they helped alot when i had to turn my hips over and over during a game. 1 inch in 3 weeks isn't that bad. by the way you could even lower your cals. when you get off football because your not as active then.
