im currently between 180-185 5'11-6feet , dunno bf% but its not too high , have alittle bit of a gutt and some love handles id like to get rid of , diet is currently checked , no junk food or high sugars , its not die hard perfect but its a big change cuz all i ate was pop and chips barely any protein and according to ppl , i look like i work out , just more bulky then cutt. i wanna do some cardio , for endurance and to cutt but i still want to bulk because i wanna be about 200lbs cutt! like 6% bf .. someone at the gym told me that if i do cardio but have a protein shake mixed with glutamine before i do my cardio that i wont lose muscle itll only burn fat? is that true????? , the reason i dont cutt now and bulk up again cleaner is because i dont wanna lose any muscle. whats my best option , do i do what this guy said? or do i just keep working out hard but bulk way cleaner , less carbs , no junk no high sugars and hope that my current exercise regiment will burn the fat so i can keep gaining muscle? the cardio i was gunna do was HIIT 1 or 2 times a week . along with my 5 day split. and like i said my diet until last week consisted of about 4-6 pops/ice teas a day , lots of chips and sweets and im still not fat. could just cutting this out make me cut? also , im changing my routine tomorrow , and i wanna be more cut , so super sets and reps 12-15 sets 3-5 will help with that right?

I want to do something similar. I still have a bit of fat around my waist to get rid of and not sure if I should diet till its gone or try to build muscle and loose the fat at the same time, if that is even possible.

Any time you are cutting you WILL lose some muscle mass. The key is to minimze it. Short high intensity cardio workouts are best. Also, it is best to bulk first to get the size you want by packing on as much lean muscle mass as possible and then start cutting.
