unlosable fat - Monday, July 14, 2003 6:23 PM ( #1 )
Hi. I was wondering if someone could shed some light on this problem of mine.
For over 8 years I have been very active and have exercised at least 2 hours every day. When I was younger I mostly played basketball, but when I turned around 20, I began to lift weights, and started to watch my diet. Right now I' m 22 and weigh 165 pounds. Now here is my problem. According to a small hand-held monitor I have, my body fat percentage is 13%. I can run 2 miles on a treadmill in 12 minutes, and I usually last longer than the skinny guys on the basketball court. But the problem I have is my disgustingly fat abdominals, and my lower gut is very fat. All the other parts of my body are pretty tight, but the gut and obliques are horrible. I run an hour every day on the treadmill and according to it lose around 900 calories in that hour. I try to eat well and do ab crunches, but still no success. Am I destined to forever have this fat around my midsecion no matter how fast I run or how long I can endure in sports? Thanks and sorry for the long post.

Hey!
I´m not a specialist, but i know that you need a calrie deficit! that means tthat you must burn more calories than you consume. You have to eat 5-6 small meals a day.And if nothing helps get a good fatburner, but i don´t know if they rwally work, just get your diet right and burn more than you consume.

Unfortunately abdominal fat is a popular male issue. It all comes down to diet. You can run forever and do a thousand sit ups, if your diet is not in check, you will have ab fat. Why don' t you post what your eatting looks like and we can take a look at it.
