umm tell me what you think i guess... - Sunday, August 24, 2008 10:44 PM ( #1 )
Im 16, 145lbs...tell me what you think about my physique. Been lifting hard for a lil over a year. I kno my abs suck. Im really trying to work them right now. Also i kno i got a farmers tan BIG time lol.

And i recently posted a thread in which i said my arms were about 16 inches. I was off by about 3 quarters of an inch lol. I was measuring wrong when i did it but i did it again and every time it came out to be just over 15 inches. Sorry about that i just wanted to clear that up because posting fake sizes is stupid.

oh and no leg pics because they are pathetic and are under construction lol

sup man well after seeing the pics i gotta say ur not bad.. u gotta do a little more chest try doing alot of weight get a TRUSTWORTHY spotter who can push u the right way.. do some flies or some cable cross-overs to open ur chest up a little more . umm ur arms are ok u said that they are more toned than in the pic so idk .. (important) u gotta loose the belly not much but just enough so that ur waist gets a little slimmer .. overall in my opinion, i say u should bulk up but not with any hardcore **** cuz ur still kinda young .. take a good protein and maybe some vitamins .. but at the same time try to fit some cardio and alot of abs in the workout.. keep hitting the gym hard and remember DO NOT OVERTRAIN . rest weekends and get alot of sleep ..watch what you eat. cut soda, fast food and SUGAR !! goodluck

Re:umm tell me what you think i guess... - Monday, August 25, 2008 9:44 AM ( #5 )
thanks guys.

Im trying to bulk up now but to looses that body fat do you think running about 2 miles twice a week and doing a hardcore ab wokrout 3 times a week will be enough to loose that body fat, build up my abs, and still allow me to bulk up at the same time? Also i decided to stop eating fast food, chocolate, and stuff like that.

And are traps your back or your shoulders? i think i was flexing both but i cant remember lol. The pictures came out pretty bad fromthe cell phone but you can get a good enough idea of my physique from the pics.

Thanks guys

well first off u cant bulk while cutting fat, during a bulk u are trying to put on mass and subsequently a little of that will be fat.

and if u are trying to get ur abs to show ur overall diet is going to be way more important then ur cardio

Good job. Less arms/shoulders more core/back (especially lower back). Traps are disproportionate....probably would stop isolating them if you are. Traps are on the sides of your neck, top back of the shoulder.

Start focusing on incline bench...your upper chest is lacking. Good luck, stay motivated.

if you're flexing them then no , train them like any other bodypart, but if they look like they do on the first picture from the left when your relaxed then yeah they're slightly disproportionate

watch your lower back you have a really bad curve in it which can cause MAJOR problems down the road such as bulged discs etc., work on flexing your Glutes while you do almost every exercise  by flexing your glutes it straightens your lower back

Deadlifts for a compound, hyperextensions to isolate. Google them.

You have very large triceps compared to biceps. I would say "work on biceps/shoulders/abs/chest" more then anythin else.

Also.. no leg shots?

And how tall are you?

looking pretty good but you have a pretty severe anterior pelvic tilt, its shown with your waist line and the curvature of your spine.  You need to try and stretch out your lower back as it looks tight and strengthen your abs/obliques.  Also i would suggest strengthening your hamstrings and gluteus max.  as this will help pull the pelvis back into alignment.  If its not corrected you can have severe lower back pain even debilitating later in life.

Also i really wanna increase my chest alot. Its pretty lacking so which routine would be best for that?

Re:umm tell me what you think i guess... - Wednesday, September 17, 2008 12:06 PM ( #26 )
You have a great frame to work with man.  If you stick to SS, and eat like a horse, you will be monsterous within 2 years (I know 2 years seems like a long time, but it's really not.  The REAL results take YEARS to come.  I'm 26 now.  I'm thinking about how jacked I'll be once I'm 35.)

Shoot for about 190 - 200 lbs. before you ever decide to cut.  That's my advice to you.

Lol, I already said this in your other tread too, but SS will get you BIG and STRONG.  Not JUST strong.  Don't worry dude if you lift extremely heavy weights and eat a lot of food you WILL get HUGE.

Bodybuilders seem to get scared once they hear the word "strength".  It's as if they think they will still be skinny if they are deep squatting over 300 lbs., deadlifting over 400, and benching over 250.
It's the skinny guys that do the "bodybuilding" routines, and remain skinny.

Re:umm tell me what you think i guess... - Wednesday, September 17, 2008 8:53 PM ( #28 )
You have to bulk up before you get cut.  If you worry about your 6 pack, you will never be where you want to be.  Take my advice, and bulk for 2 years minimum, then if you really decide that you want to go for that 6 pack, go for it then.  You will be suprised at how much better you start looking once you add on an extra 20 lbs. of muscle or so.  You may not even care about a 6 pack any more at that point. l

By great frame, I meant you are already low fat and proportioned nicely.  An extra 50 lbs or so, and you will be a beast.
