trying to take shape - Tuesday, September 06, 2005 2:52 PM
I'm not really ready to get out in front of people so my exercise routine is limited to dvds like tae bo and denise austin like everyday and what ever free weight exercises i can do at home. My friend has a gym at her  apartment complex that she said i can use but number one i'd be winging it, and number 2 should i even be thinking about toning up this early in the game?

Secondly my diet.
I recently starting eating breakfastwhich i never did before but i know that it is essential, my problem is not over eating but when i do eat its usually a lot of carbs(pasta, bread, sweets). can someone point out a plan that i should use and i know i sound pitiful but i will do whatever it takes. Thanks!

any good fat burning ideas? i bought some lipo 6 but waiting on results.

What I have done to lose some weight is at EVERY MEAL. I only eat 3/4 of the stuff on my plate.  I eat 4 smaller meals a day.  no supplements no pills.  Pills dont really work and supplements cost too much $.

Fat Burning. keep with your cardio.  Best and most efficent way to lose those pounds.  take it slow at first and gradually make your way to your success.  Do make sure you take soem time off.  If you dont your body will never rest.

Free weights are nice for women but not needed.  As long as you are keeping up with all your tae bo and yoga stuff they incorperate light weights into your routine

any good fat burning ideas?

First off, HELLO and welcome to db.com!!!

Second: Dont be afraid to hit the gym!! You dont need to stay doing those at home-workouts.  I have been to atleast 7 different gyms and i have found NOBODY that hasnt been nice and helpful.  And I sure havent seen anybody laugh at another person.

Third: NONE!- diet pills cause nothing but trouble.  They mess up your metabolism(something you def don't wanna mess with), put harmful chemicals into your body, and many pills i have read about actully dehydrate you while excersizing.  I would stick to cardio and a healthy diet, in my opinion that is the best way to lose weight.  Most people don't go that way because they dont lose the weight they want to in their set time limit.  But good things come to people who wait.
When you have a nice diet going, you need to stay on top of it!!
Write it down with all your calories, protein, and carbs.  http://fitday.com/   is one great site!

good luck!

-Mike

Yea, Marc knows ALOT of sh!t.  Yea cardio everyday isnt good, you need days to rest, id say excersize 5 days a week, and with a nice healthy diet you'll lose weight.  Lol don't be ashamed, just think about somebody working out for 3 years, not the age.
