p.s she already tried to register here but we are using DOD computers so the email verification part was unsuccessful..... Anybody else who has this issue.. just tell me your user name and I can manually approve you. Give me your friend's username she picked and I can approve it. Toning.. just tell her to do weights.. women aren't going to build up muscles like guys. Such a fallacy anyway. Start her off very slowly.. to get used to it.. but she can squat 200 lbs at some point like any guy and have nice toned legs. The high rep, really low weight thing is not the way to build muscle which is tone. I don't know if I'd have her max out but I wouldn't say doing 25 reps is going to get her to the goal of a toned body. Those fitness gals do pretty decent weight and they are tone, in shape and not hulk like. She should just workout.. hard, eat right, do cardio and train as heavy as she feels capable of. If she wants muscle to tone up, she'll have to work at it. No need for a high rep scheme.. she wants tone not endurance.

ORIGINAL: boyrancher6250 thx marc, ill get her username and give it to u....ill pass on this useful info OR ill have her check it out herself afterwards....thx again p.s and she does have that belief that she will BULK up and i tell her ive been workin out hard for almost 2.5 months and i havent got terribly big....strong but not big.... Yeah, I'm fighting this fallacy right now with one of my co-workers. She's like, but I don't want to get all 'muscley'. I tell her, you won't unless you change A LOT of aspects of your diet and exercise routine and even then you have to have some benficial genetics. But building muscle helps burn fat, helps strength connective tissue, helps fight ostioperosis, not to mention makes you look GOOOOOOOOOOD!!! Not to mention will help her deal with pregnancy much better. Paul
