Just curious as to why most gyms don't have an oldfangled 20'-25' climbing rope hanging from a dark corner. It's a tremendous core strength compound exercise. Speed climbing had been phased out of high school gymnastics by the 70's but was still used for training purposes. So simple, so brutal, so effective. About the only muscles NOT used are the calves. Thoughts?
An added plus- Nobody lollygags around with their Ipod or cell phone while speed climbing.
