i was really counting on doing it in the weightroom, but coach said he didnt want our legs to be dead before the first day of practice

gonna workout at home tomorrow after practice. had our first double session today, went good for me. I'm fighting for the starting left guard position on varsity, i messed up a little at first, but once i got calm and use to everything i got better, the last play i was in today i made a nice pancake on a blitzing lb, so i am gonna keep fighting for the spot

havent had much time to update this or do anything really, been super busy with football so its been hard, i lifted wednesday and tonight, just did some upright rows, benched, wide grip benched, and oh pressed today, ill show my bench, got a new pr bench press 5x205 5x205 5x210 5x215 5x220 pr

much appreciated, in the middle of a workout right now, but took a lil break due to my back, i've had tremendous pain in my lower back for the past 2 weeks, no clue what to do to make it go away, its been very hard to hang clean and squat, but i did hang cleans today and it flared up a lot, got another pr on bench though bench press 5x205 5x205 5x210 5x215 5x225 pr hang cleans i did 5x5 my first was 185, then the rest were 205, went pretty easy except for the back pain which isant helping anything right now edit: wow, i just went in to do a deep squat set of 205 for 10 and after the first one when i went about halfway down i could feel my back pain very sharp, im gonna lay off from any type of cleans for about a week or two, and try to let this thing heal, if it doesnt get better, i might have to go get this checked out.

thanks man, my goal honestly is too bench 300 by the end of my senior year, im setting the bar high for myself, i think i can easily bench more then anyone in my class after the season and after that also

nah my form didnt slip or anything, last time i did them i was still able to do 205 for 5x5, i think i messed up my back doing deadlifts about 2 weeks ago, and then whenever i go to practice since im still lifting, having to get down in a stance constantly since im a lineman just makes it hurt more, but i havent had the pains as bad in a while, im gonna lay off of the cleans for maybe a few more days then try them again next week and see how my back reacts to it

If you can max 260 right now, you can definitly get 300, your only a junior right? We had a guy bench like 415 his senior year last year.

yea im a junior right now and it doesnt look like it will be too much of a problem, and wow thats a lot, the most i've ever seen a guy do his senior year was 315 but i lifted today, did some squats to get them in, gonna post my bench and wide grip bench bench 5x205 5x210 5x215 5x220 5x225 moved up 5 lbs in every set, was nice to do wide grip bench 8x135 8x155 8x185--not a pr but havent gotten it in a while so it felt good

good day today hit a new pr incline bench press 5x155 5x165 5x170 5x175 5x185--feels good to get this, my inclines been going up lately, im feeling it, glad i started doing it push press 8x135 8x135 8x150--most i ever did, i could really feel a burn in my legs when i did this, it felt good, know i can do more, gonna push myself more next time i do these also did some squats, could feel a lil tightness in my back but it went ok overall

soooo jv is pretty crazy this year, i start on offense and defense, and i play all special teams besides kickoff, haha its a lot to get use to, i like it though, im also captain so thats cool too but new bench pr today bench 5x205 5x210 5x215 5x220 5x230 pr

yea, i guess im not good enough to play varsity, but i also guess thats why our team is 0-2 and just got blown out 38-7 hahaha, imo i think i should be starting guard, but whatever, as long as i get to play i dont really care
