No, the traps are separated into 3 different sections. You will only be activating the upper fibers by doing shrugs. To hit the lower/middle fibers you need to do heavy rows.

I would think heavy close grip rows... try some t-bar or at the very least seated close grip cable rows

Personally, I have had the best gains in trap size once I started power cleaning.

yea, oly lifts are great for the upper part of your traps, but you really need to get parallel to the ground the get that thickness in your lower traps.

SEOINAGE back when I was a beginner I would do bent over shrugs. I have one of my male clients mix these into his back days. Good stuff. It's basically scapular retractions which are what you need to do to hit the middle/lower traps and rhomboids.

I do something like this on occasion to keep various rtc muscles strong, Nothing heavy though that will really make the muscles grow, one I pull my shoulder blades back as I rotate my hands back with elbows pinned at sides.

Looks good. Just bulk up again and then cut back down and use variations of different movements while working your back, keep switching it up keep trying something new. I noticed time in the gym is probably not half as important as good dieting sleep and dedicating your life style to body building.

Are you talking upright rows or bent over? My traps don't seem to respond to anything. I haven't done rows recently as they hurt my back, leading me to believe my form is wrong. Does anyone have a spot on example of doing them? Would like to work them back in!

Upright rows will hit your upper traps but I never do them because they are very prone to cause RC injuries. I'm talking about horizontal/bent over rows to hit the middle and lower fibers of your traps. this is good form: http://www.youtube.com/...w-with-proper-technique/

I hurt my rotator one time and couldnt bench for almost a month. It sucked so I started doin rc exercises after that and Im always very conscious of it, I never want to do that again.

Ok, cool will try that tomorrow. I done some reading and it suggests to deload the bar after each rep, especially with heavy weight. So I guess BB rows work the lats but the traps get a good workout too? At the moment I've just been doing pull ups for my lats due to the pain I was getting from rows.

Actually I don't think you'd be folding clothes.. More like standing shirtless at the entrance welcoming people!! you should definitely write to some agencies, better than the normal desk jobs most people do!

Abercromie models stand in the front of the store, they do not greet. They stand like live manicans (sp), changing poses every couple of minutes. When I was more cut I was approached on through myspace to model for them... not my cup of tea... Modeling on a successful level is very hard to get into, its all about knowing the right people and getting seen by the right person. You have to start young, and get your pics out any way possible. Its not the lifestyle I see for myself, I'm not vain at all, and don't like "showing off" my body to get a job. I never want to come across that way.
