this sucks-numb left leg - Tuesday, November 21, 2006 5:12 PM
i have a pinched nerve in my left ankle/ foot, actually it is tarsal tunnel (like carpal tunnel but in your foot). it started the end of last winter from snowboarding, i think the combo of tight boots + high arches, my arch put too much pressure on the tunnel and i aggravated it. hey, i'm not going to quit shredding, lol.

now i am having what i think are other problems that have spun off of that. beacuse of having an intermittently numb sole of the foot (i have been to the podiatrist, nothing to do for it but surgery, plus sometimes its way better than other times and i don't really want to get surgery) and running on it caused me to put strain on my knee beacuse my foot probabaly wasn't hitting the ground correctly since i have less motility in that foot. then doing sqats on that i think messed up my hip and i have tingling in my butt down the back of my leg sometimes, particularly after i do squats/ deadlifts, or run. i looked into that and i think it may be priformis syndrome.

over the summer this was bothering me much less, now that it's cold its back. my foot is pretty numb right now and i just finished doing deadlifts and now my butt + thigh are tingly too. and to top it all off, snowboarding season is starting soon and i spent 450 bucks on a season pass and i am planning on going every weekend!
