It means his balls didn't shivel up into little raisins and stop working like they do with real tesosterone. With steroids, your natural production shuts off, so when you go off them you are practically chemically castrated.

Of course, if his natural production didn't go down, then you have to wonder if the product actually contributed a signifigant amount of additional testosterone. I would guess no.

Well, it's what I think about most bodybuilding pills... if you can't dazzle them with good science, baffle them with bull****.

I'd like to see the results of their "research", they are throwing out a lot of complex language and claims, but no supporting evidence. Also, if something raises testosterone, it's going to raise DHT and estrogen too, that's just how the human body works.

I'm also amused that it starts off "No Hype, Just Pure Muscle!" and goes on the HYPE HYPE HYPE. Too many exclamation points, not a good sign...

17-Hydroxy-ECMM also readily converts to a potent anabolic hormone which has been shown by the pharmaceutical company Searle to be 700% more anabolic than testosterone.(1)

That's quite a claim, even if it is supposedly backed up by a reference (see below)

CQ has been studied and used clinically for years in traditional Ayurvedic medicine.

Ummm....well, ancient Indian medical arts that emphasize balance and wholeness are about as far from a magic uber muscle pill as you can get...

A study also revealed CQ treated animals showed an increased growth and healing response beyond that to the known anabolic steroid Durabolin.(2)

See the reference...FOR BONE FRACTURES

And notice their references are FORTY YEARS OLD, one from a junior organic chemistry text, and another about traditional Indian medicine:

(1)Counsel et al., "Anabolic Agents, Derivatives of 5 alpha-Androst-ene" , J. Org. Chem., 27 (1962), 248-251. (2)"Role of CQ on Fracture Healing". Adv Res Indian Medicine; 15 327-343. Udupa, K. et al., (1965).

The chart they have contains no information at all, it's just marketing hype.

Oh and then of course:

These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. For best results, use in conjunction with an exercise program.

I use a scientific standard of proof. Some on the board disagree with my scientific standards, but the placebo effect is powerful and I want to see a double-blind study before I'll spend my money on something. Yes, I am a serious skeptic of pro-hormones in general. Yes, I will pick apart any ad like this, because I CAN. Testimonials do not impress me. Nonsense like this impresses me even less.

This comment is proof positive that you truly didn't understand 90% of what I said to youm in the thread to which you are referring.

I agree wholeheartedly that science is the master. That said, there is almost nothing in existence upon which a true double blind study of the exact product being discussed that shows the efficacy, or lack of efficacy of the product.

So, in the world of dietary supplements, you need to start with science, and draw logical intelligent conclusion therefrom.

Lack of evidence, does not mean lack of efficacy. Any scientist will tell you this.

P.S. Marvelous job ripping apart this ****ty advertising.

Oh yeah, TwinPeak's one of the ones that doesn't agree with me being persnickety about studies, in case you couldn't tell.

Thanks Twin...that particular ad was a real joy to shred

Yes, but I'm not going to spend my money or risk tweaking my hormonal balance without evidence.

If your pressing 100 pounds more than your weight, it seems like you getting some pretty good results without the use of this garbage. My advice, stay away from this stuff. Be patient, you already making good gains without it. It's not worth risking your health. It's not worth f'ing up your insides to make your outsides look good.
