They will slowly fade away... my dermatologist said that "creams, lotions, etc.." and the like won't do anything but waste your money.

bah, like no pain said they fade away anyways!  In the beginning they are purple then they start to really lighten out.   I have them pulling across my chest and under my delts,  also now at the very top of my bicep.  Who cares, war wounds buddy!!

I had this same issue.  Online I read from a few sites pretty much the same as what everyone else posted.  However I heard that if you catch it early on (within a few weeks of when the stretching starts) you can pop vitamin E capsules and spread them on the stretch twice a day. Supposedly it helps. A lot of people invest in expensive creams which don't do much, I heard that its because they barely contain any vitamin E.  I don't know.  On one hand I hate my stretchmarks, but on the other I agree with IbendBarbells. War wounds. scars = history.

Just be glad they're not on your thighs and stomach.  I know they look gross, but it would be alot worse and more embarassing if they were covering an area of fat, as opposed to muscle.
