someone else will come along and post something a little more in depth.

when trying to lose weight you typically need to be in a negative caloric level where as you need to be in a caloric suplus to gain weight.  If you are new to working out you can generally gain a little size while losing some body fat because your body is new to this.

however generally it is hard to lose fat and gain muscle at the same time.  it is easier to either cut or bulk first.

what are your current stats and diet like?  what are your goals?

The traditional approach that I always do is try to eat as much as possible early. As the day goes on, you should have less.

Doggcrapp encourages you to not eat any carb beside veggies after 6 PM.

simply put. cycling your carbs

have high, moderate, and low days and adjust how many of each you have every week based on your routine. i would place my high carb days on days i worked my lower body but it is up to you.

u just have to experiment and find out what works best for you. obviously u must adjust your ratios of protein and fat based on how many carbs u are eating that day
