quote:

my heels are on the floor

Now...I cant do that...

No matter how far apart my legs are, i cant keep my heels on the ground-hurts too much

As a kid my lower leg (calve) tendons were too small and as a result i had to wear these dumb leg brace things that stretched them before i grew too much and made it permanent

But it seems im still having negative effects from this because i cant do this exercise properly, i ususally have to lift my heel up...I cannot squat that low without going off my heel, as a result i cant squat properly, and i think its because my tendons are still too short and i cant fully stretch that much,

Can anyone help me?

stretching exercises for the calves that might help?
How long will this take?

Does leg press hurt?  You might want to try that as a substitute.  While its less effective than squatting, its often easier to go up in weight on it.  Do deadlift's to make up for not squatting I suppose.

try working around squat... its not worth getting hurt for

leg press and leg extensions are both good exercises that will give u results

also maybe do some light calf raises to strengthen ur tendons

Read that link dude, I got a couple of training sessions in with a Powerlifting coach and he opened my eyes up to a whole different world of squatting.  If you can Deadlift properly, it might just be your technique that needs revising with the Squat.

Most people just drop straight down while squatting, causing them to lean way forward and go way on their toes.  On your toes will cause more of your Quads to fire up, but to invlove your entire leg (Quads/Hams/Glutes..) - Try to think of Squatting as the same action you would take before you sit on the toilet bowl.  So just don't go straight down... the first thing to move will be your "hips back", then you begin to sit back which causes you to go on your heals.

You can actually catch Arnold begining his Squats in the same manner in Pumping Iron... as well as Lee Priest in his video.  The box Squat can help you with this.
