squat racks-help me out here

im in the market for a squat rack, problem is i have a $300 spending limit. any suggestions?
first day with no buds, 11/17, need a new job. 1 down 13 to go.

ORIGINAL: Tommy_Boy420 man, i wish i had room in my basement for a home gym im giving up room in my bedroom XD. its going to be cramped but...all i do is sleep in here anyways!! soccerking, my limit is 300 and currently i have 2 45 lbs plates and no bar or bench(that i own). if i were to buy that i still need a bench and at least an olympic bar.

ummm build your own??? lol, but seriously 300 bucks isnt going to get you anywhere especially if you need a bar and a power rack, and more weight and a bench...

Check out craigslist.com on a regular basis. And search cities close to yours as well. Workout equipment pops up there all the time.

Workout equipment pops up there all the time. i checked craiglist and all the nice ones were at least 600, so it didnt work out too good, but today i saw a great bench that would be perfect for me, it was a huge rack, and a bench actually, for 199. im going to try to get that, and i also saw a weight set for a little over 130, ill have to save up a little to get that with the bench but i think ill just do that. btw thank you all for the help

Yeah craiglist is your best bet I checked it everyday for 3 weeks. I finally got a squat rack w/lat pulldown,olympic bar w/400 lbs,ez curl bar and bench with leg attachment all for $250

I got a bench and 45lb bar for $50 with 300lbs of weight off of craigslist

Save up as much as you need to get good equipment. Don't settle for anything less then the best. You'll be happy you did.
