 sprints - stiff leg deadlift

sorry if my english sucks lol

I wanna be faster
especially in sprints

I can't do squat for like 2-3 months becuz of a bad knee
but I feel ok when I do stiff leg deadlift
it's a good exercise for being faster or not ?




i'm 19
incline bench press 160lbs 100reps
incline dumbells curl 100lbs 2 reps
stiff leg deadlift 220lbs 100reps

Lifting weights doesn't improve speed- Working on speed improves speed. Don't try to do fast reps, it's not the same thing, and you could risk an injury. If you can't do squats for two or three months, I'd say it's best to be safe and stay away from the stiff leg deads too- Leave the legs alone for a while, and make sure the knee heals properly. The last thing you want is to turn a temporary injury into something permanent- Besides, if you create a big enough strength imbalance between the hamstrings and the quads, that by itself can cause more knee problems.

What cpl said...when you're better, do plyometrics and cleans....and sprint training
