bryphil1 What hurts when you do dips? Usually I feel it a bit in my shoulders for the fist few reps each set. But this time what bothered me was a heavy dull pain in my triceps.. the lateral head, about halfway down the humerus, right next to the biceps. Today:: ~3100 kcal (not sure if I'm counting the sushi dinner quite right) Morning HIIT (20 sprint / 11 walk): -1.5km jog -20/11 x 12 (w/ one 30sec break) -1.5km jog Afternoon LISS: -50min aerobics

~2700 kcal Morning HIIT (20 sprint / 11 walk): -1.5km jog -20/11 x 12 (w/ one 30sec break) -1.5km jog Having back pain like something went wrong the last time I did deads, so instead of going to the gym I just did some pullups and light dumbbell work. Also jogged for about 25min.

One last session before I go out of town. Back's still feeling tight. I hadn't planned to do any squats, but I figured I'll be out of the gym for nearly two weeks, so it couldn't hurt. Shoulda gone a little lighter for a comfortable 3x8. I'm a little worried I'll lose a lot of strength (and size) after the last couple weeks of back issues and the next couple weeks of inactivity (and questionable nutrition). My girl's not even letting me bring my bands. Wtf. BP 67.5 x 8/8/7 PU BW x 9/7 Sk Crushers 25 x 8/8/8 Chins 5 x 7/5 Squat 85 x 8/7/5

Just returned from Tokyo. Training was zero, and diet was ****. I've returned fatter and a little lighter. Basically I hate myself right now. I wanna get back into heavy training asap, but I'm still feeling a bit of light burning soreness in my back from time to time. I'm not really sure what to do. So I'll start with a light 3x8 tomorrow and maybe hold off on deads for a little while based on how that feels. Additionally, I've decided to remove the heavy part of this routine and do all 3x8. I've also decided to do it 3x a week instead of 4x. The 4th day seems a unnecessary and even a little dangerous. I might add a 4th day from time to time when I'm feeling up to it. I'll change my diet a bit and hope to get good results this way.

Starting back easy with slightly lower weight and only 2 sets per exercise (except bench, cos I wanted to see if I could get 3x8, so why not). Back is still bothering me, so I'll definitely remove DL on Wednesday and may need to make additional changes. This really sucks; I thought for sure I'd heal up with nearly 2 weeks of rest. SQ 80 x 8/8 BP 65 x 8/8/7 Seated OHP 30 x 8/6 Dips 5 x 8/8 BW Pullups / Chins (just for the hell of it) x8 / x8

Can't do many pulls, they just mess with my back too much. OHP is rough too, so I nixed it. Gonna stick to these exercises and work these weights up to 2x10, then I plan to start a HST program when I'm fully recovered. Oh, pecs and delts (?) were killing me! Chins (had only 2 classes to teach today, so I decided to kill some time on the grounds) BW x 15-6-6 (seems a pretty dramatic drop, from 15 to 6) ~3 hrs later:: SQ 80 x 9-9 BP 65 x 9/7 Chins BW x10 / 5kg x 6 Dips 5 x9/8

Had my first cigarette in 8 months last night. The nicotine buzz was a pleasant surprise, but it was still pretty gross. I'd been curious how I'd respond to a smoke. Now I know, and I'm pretty relieved.

Can't eat or sleep for shlt due to stress. Losing weight. I imagine some muscle, mostly fat. Today I felt hunger for the first time in a week or two, so maybe soon I'll kick my slump in the ass.

Set out to find 15 rep maxes. I felt like I could've finished the 2nd set of squats, but at about rep 9, a massive ache crept up in the back of my head. It was the worst pain I've experienced in a while, and it worried me a bit. But I pushed through the rest of the workout. Tried to keep a steady pace, and it didn't end up taking as long as I'd feared. Might add calf raises. Auuuugh, wish I could do deads and/or shrugs, but my back just can't take it right now. Okay workout. 10 rep bench was stonger than ever. Found out I won't be able to fend off headaches over 10 reps on squats. Figured I'd throw up a pic, it's been a while. I've sort of been cutting to leave more room for the fat gains to come. Nothing too anal though, been eating fairly regularly, but my appetite hasn't been all that strong so the cals have probably been a little low, haven't been keeping track. Been doing 20-40min cardio 6 days a week. Ended up with maybe 4-5 lbs fat lost and 1-2 lbs LMM gained in about a month. Haven't changed much since the end of July. I'm just a tad leaner and bigger. I'm fairly happy with the way I look, better than ever, though I wouldn't dream of stopping now. I should look just about right with an extra 20-25lbs LMM. Currently ~157.
