Protein is a natraul substance found in meats-no it doesn't have any side affects. Wether you decide to take Whey Protein, or Mass Gainner is up to you. However, incase you exceed the proper dosage, make sure you drink alot of water! This will help flush out your system, and insure you won't damage yourself.

since i am 60kg, i need to consume 60g of protein? right? erm... i want to know if. protein does help to increase weight? protein whey that i checked consists of only 120 calories whereas mass gainer consists of 660 calories... i heard from my friends that protein whey can increase my weight.. is that true? but why? is it because of the protein?

Alright, i don't know if you've picked up on this yet or not, but heres how it all works out. Protien is an essential nutrient for you body, you need it or you can actually die after awhile of amino acid deficiancy. Now i don't know the kg-pound conversion, but you need one gram of protein per POUND of bodyweight, minimum. And the level of protein it would take to become toxic to your body is incredibly, you shouldn't worry about it, especially at your age, when your metabolism is so fast it could power trains. Peace.
