hey,

I was working out today and i was doing lats and shoulders. I was about 45 mins into my workout, and was doing shoulder presses with dumb bells. I was on my 4th set and I was going light, using the 60's. And i lifted the dumb bells into position when i felt a pain down my whole right arm. It felt just like an electrical shock in my shoulder, but it went down my whole arm. i set the dumb bells down and stood up. My arm left a little numb and like pins and needles. but after 30 secs it was fine and didnt hurt AT ALL.

im kinda freaked out about it, i dont want a major injury. Im trying to break state bench press records.

Mark:

I'm not a doctor, but I look for warning signs.  I would have my shoulder/arm/triceps package checked by a doctor.

Sounds very familiar. It happened to me several times, and let me tell you it will get worse every time it happens.

For me, it was a strained ligament. Started in baseball was worsened in Football and never got completely better. 1.5 years later im thinking about take a week break from lifting to let it heal.

The Doc told me it takes 6-7 months to heal 50%

Take care of your shoulder!
