shoulder pain - Friday, February 11, 2005 6:45 PM ( #1 )
when i was at the gym the other day doing curls i noticed a tingling feeling in my scapula or lower shoulder. i ignored this feeling and continued on. i was about half way through when i noticed a extreeme pain in my shoulder. its been about a week and everytime i pick up a weight for upper body i get the tingling feeling. does anyone know what this is and or how to fix this problem

stop lifting completely, go to a doctor and see what he says.

Noone here can help you as much as a doctor and some xrays can. And i'd stop lifting until you see a doctor and see what he says.

DONT play with your shoulders! I've been having shoulder pains for 2 years. Matter of fact my shoulders hurt right NOW!

i talked to my trainer about that. uh it could be somthing pinching i think do to unproporioned muscles. go see a doctor!

shoulders are bad news.  I hurt my shoulder arm wrestling a few months ago.  at first I ignored the pain and lifted and played football through it, but that stupid.  Turns out I didn't tear my rotator cuff, but messed it up enough.  The doctor gave me some muscle relaxors and gave me exercises to do, but to be honest i never missed one day of lifting.  I just lifted light, and used a lot of cables and stupid mashines that I would never use.  Its been a couple months and I'm about 90%.  after saying that, I would still tell you to just completely avoid your shoulder for a few weeks.  Its the worst thing ever, I know, but it will heel correctly and much faster.

YEah I hate shoulder pain it messes up ur elbow so much....nice bench twadlund
