O.k. so i have been askin around about people scraping on their shins while doing deadlifts and it sounds like its a pretty common thing in the gym when you go up in weight.  The other day on my first set i scraped my shins and didnt notice it until i was done with my 8 reps.  i went to the bathroom and wiped the blood away and came back for my second set and did it again on my first rep...i just finished off the set and was like WTF.  so here's my question...who else out there has done this and what are some tips to not scrape on the shins.  i've been doing deads for a really long time, but it has been a while since i started going heavy again with deads.  tips pointers???

  Cut some shin guards out of a 1 liter 7UP bottle, or any other smooth-sided plastic soft drink bottle, and put them in your socks before you deadlift or pull. Fixes it every time.
