Maybe it was not muscle?

Having a high amount of sugar in your diet can cause more of your consumed calories to be stored as fat.
Also having too few calories from carbs could cause your body to use the protein from muscle for energy.
Additionally if your body does not have all the nutrients to support optimal muscle building and fat burning, it may not be doing a very efficient job of it.

So, keep training smart and working on adding more healthy foods in exchange for some of the foods you have now!

You are moving in the right direction!

RE: number of exercise questions (Cats Milk)

i thought it was protein that does the rebuilding? i have a good 100+g easily maybe 140 you said :)

also ive started eating alot more fruit, ive started having an apple or banana after breakfast and every so often :D
RE: number of exercise questions (danmirage)

Tell you what, when I gain a pound of muscle...I can feel it and see it.

When we gain fat..usually it is distributed over the body and throughout the muscles...so it is harder to see, we just know our cloths fit differently.

When we have a sub par diet, the body metabolizes (burns up) muscle to make up for the shortage and to slow the metabolism and then starts storing fat.

You know what you need to do to put on muscle and make it noticeable.
RE: number of exercise questions (Cats Milk)

in 10 weeks of trianing i have gained 11 pounds on this current diet, is this good?

thx again for the help :)
RE: number of excercise questions (danmirage)

Off the top of my head...Deteriorating health, insulin dependent diabetes, slow and difficult results from your efforts...just look at the epidemic in America.

RE: number of excercise questions (Cats Milk)

i just hate the taste of vegetables thats why ive never had them, what could happen if i dont stop eating the "good foods" :D

RE: number of excercise questions (danmirage)

also what foods can give me more vitamins and minerals

Vegetables are the richest in vits and minerals followed by fruits. I would still recommend a multivitamin.

Probably you should search through the nutrition section and look at some of the diets listed.

If you try to ditch the rubbish...there are withdrawels from sugar and from some of the artificial ingredients...so be aware of that.

You might want to take it in steps.

Replace the bars with fruits and nuts and maybe with healthy meal replacement bars.
Have a vegetable with every meal. Carrot sticks and celery sticks for the on-the-go meals.

Sit down and start to work out a healthier meal plan. Write out meal by meal what you now eat...then start replacing the items with healthier items like I suggest throughout this thread.

Plan ahead. Shop ahead. Use your head!

Remember, this is your life...how do you want it to go? or do you think swap a choclate bar for a banana :)

also what foods can give me more vitamins and minerals
