I don' t think a 2 day hike is going to really do much muscle wise.. you might even lose a bit of fat from your 2 day trek.

Sounds like you' ve got the bases covered.

2 Day Yosemite Hike (Marc David)

It' s time for my semi-annual Yosemite, Half-Dome hike.

And here' s the Questions:

Q: I' m brining some MRPs on my trip to keep my protein intake high. I' m bringing those backpacker meals (full of sodium I' m sure but filling). And I' m bring my water filtration unit so I can keep my water intake up to 1+ gallons a day. I' m trying to keep my pack light. Included will be some dried fruit and potentially some apples. Protein bars seem to melt as it' s hot up there. Bananas will just get squished.

So what do you guys think? In two days can you really lose muscle? Last year I honestly didn' t lose any weight from the trip.. but I seem a TINY bit toner. As in the 2 days of fat burning trek.

The hike is strenueous, but I' m not booking up the hill. No running. Just a solid hike. I' d like to keep the weight down and that is why I' m opting to bring backpacker meals and supplements (mostly shakes). Water only.

Suggestions are appreciated.
