(Old Navy)

Matt: How have you been doing with your "pig out" diet? Having fun eating up a storm? During my first season, I never had a chance to "pig out" because my shows were spaced so I had maybe one free day, then it was back into contest prep? Now that the dust has settled on your first comp, when are you going to hit the stage again? My next contest is March 18, 2006, the NPC Northern Kentucky in Covington, KY. It's a really large contest. Last year there were 173 competitors. It was my first contest and while I had a great time and learned a lot, I didn't Place too well. So as Nic said, I didn't have to worry about my ego. LOL However, I am training now to Place at the Northern Kentucky in March. I have some unfinished business to take care of. My goal is to place in the Top Five in Open Men's Bantam Weights against the young studs and First Place in Super Grand Master 60+. LOL So we share the same goal, to Win the next time we compete. Go for it, Matt, I sure am! LOL

RE: My first contest prep. (AnimalForever1)

nah. it ain't like that. i had fun, but my whole point was that i feel something was up and i wasn't given 1st place on purpose. but, no big deal tho. i'll get it next year.
RE: My first contest prep. (AnimalForever1)

I looked oily because I was sweating like crazy because the judges had us posing for a long time.

I still looked better, posed better, and was better all around than that guy. Period.

RE: My first contest prep. You should. Your competitor may have shown better than you overall, or maybe in minor ways. Work harder next time, and don't complain about how hard it is to train. Just do it. By the way, I came in Third in the World in my age class in an international contest against nine men. I thought I should have come in second, but I kept it to myself. Next year, I am going to come in First. We are your friends here. It's not fair of you to ask us to compare you and the other middleweights in a contest where we weren't present. Of course we are going to pick you. But, does it really make a difference in the end? You want to be First? Train so hard next time that no one can beat you. Don't just win your class, win the whole show.
RE: My first contest prep.
