They have some really good stuff, prices not to bad either. I'm impressed, I think I'll give a few of their "the one and only supplements that they have rights too.." er you know? opposite of their production line, like limited edition stuff I'll try 'em out and post my experiences.

RE: new to supplements (Chazz540)

I agree with you PAL. You'll get far better results performing free weight excersizes and machine, practicing the proper form.

RE: new to supplements (PAL)

Just start slow and work on getting your form right for free wieghts and learning how to use the machines correctly, then start increasing your lift weight. When I first started lifting two years ago, the first week and a half your body goes into a total state of shock and you hurt like you've NEVER hurt before. I know I lost a lot of sleep that first week.

Like MDA said don't try to do it all. Get in, stretch out, lift and then go home and let yourself have a day of rest from the gym. If you can spring for a couple of training sessions, they can go through all the machines thoroughly and you'll have a handle on how to do it right.

RE: new to supplements (newbie)

Hey i went to abcbodybuilding.com and its great! Or else you will be a bit too sore, probably not like it and never come back. The slow wins this race.

If you haven't, you should read The Basics by Twin Peak.

Welcome to DB newbie.. you will have to change your name to something because if you hang around here you won't be a newbie for too long.

RE: new to supplements (JaZZ669)

U can check out exercises online like... http://www.abcbodybuilding.com/

Then u can pick like whichever ones are more interesting to ya. I like free weights over machines. This way u can go into the gym and know what u want to do already. Have u figured out how u gonna do ur workouts? 3, 4, or 5 day split? 30,60,90 min workouts? stuff like that I guess. It's nice to have a gameplan when u start working out. Kinda sets things in perspective.

RE: new to supplements (newbie)

Ok cool. I actually just joined my local gym and am gonna go tomorrow for the first time. I don't really know much about all the machines and weights but hope to pick it up pretty quickly. What do you recommend? What sort of things should i look out for etc.? I'm scared that im gonna get hooked on it and end up over exercising you know, like wanna try out all the equipment and stuff. Anyway, any pointers?

RE: new to supplements (abear)

gainers are protein, carbs and fat. calories in powder form. very good to have when someone cant eat a certain amount of calories or meals each day.

i've been lifting at home for 11 years. if you plan on competing, you need to join a gym. but if you're doing this for yourself, working out at home will fit the bill.

a basic bench, barbells, dumbells, enough weights are the basics. when i needed a squat rack, i made on myself. when i needed a chin bar, i made that myself too.

a squat is a squat, a bench press is a bench press. doesnt where or how much the equipment you use is.

RE: new to supplements (newbie)

Yeah Body Fortress is a muscle and weight gainer? How do you do certain exercises at home? Actually, alittle more about you...how long have you benn lifing etc coz i need advice generally and to discuss various things with other lifters.

RE: new to supplements (JaZZ669)

What's Body Fortress Muscle? Is that like a creatine? Weight Gainer is fine, take it to reach your daily calorie intake goals. Take a protein shake after ur workouts with water or juice so u can get some protein in ya after ur workouts.

I workout at home but I have a hard time doing leg workout so I go to the gym for that. Don't have a squat rack.

RE: new to supplements (newbie)

Its Body Fortress Muscle and Weight gain powder, like a protein shake.
