It made a pop pop! sound when I went too low in a set of good mornings. I couldnt move the whole night, everything locked up in the lumbar region.

Canadian weightlifters, try GRAPES PLUS available at gnc. I was fine by day two.

RE: Poll: Help the Lynx - Weightlifting injuries (Lynx100)

Umm... i dont know. Its not a direct result of pumping iron.... but then again its still sorta related to lifting (or rather dropping) weights... so yeah i guess it counts.

Ill add the foot option to the poll now.

RE: Poll: Help the Lynx - Weightlifting injuries (Alcazar)

Once I dropped a weight on my foot...does that count?

RE: Poll: Help the Lynx - Weightlifting injuries (Lynx100)

 Any more takers?

RE: Poll: Help the Lynx - Weightlifting injuries (jram)

I've indicated ELBOWS in the poll. At times I feel that the tendons in the elbow area are at times stressed. Don't know if you would call that an injury because it really dosen't affect my training.

Peace
RE: Poll: Help the Lynx - Weightlifting injuries (DanOz)

Have just recovered from a torn muscle in my right shouder blade area - there had been some discomfort in the area for a while, mostly felt when removing the bar for bench, but not during the exercise. I had never felt any discomfort during any other exercise, but I was doing seated military press when I felt it tear. The funny thing is, I have taken some complete rest in the past & it never fixed the niggling aggravation in this area. After I tore it & let it heal with complete rest, it now seems to have cleared up. I've also hurt my back in the past doing machine hack squats - the muscles on both sides spasmed & seized, & for a week they continued to spasm & seize. I've also had tendonitus in both shoulders a couple of years ago which put me out of action for about 8 weeks.

RE: Poll: Help the Lynx - Weightlifting injuries (Lynx100)

Just added elbows Nico. During bench press I brought the bar down and halfway up I felt something in my thumb joint "pop". Due to the sudden pain I lost focus and the bar bent my wrist an odd way. Pretty painful stuff.

RE: Poll: Help the Lynx - Weightlifting injuries (Aussierules)

I tore my traps once....and once was enough. I've never been the same since. Although I recovered and have full use and flexibility, when I work the traps hard the injured side starts to spasm. That pain can last for days. Now I just take the slow and steady approach to building up strength.

RE: Poll: Help the Lynx - Weightlifting injuries (mindmatter)

I've injured both my wrists - actually the tendon that runs on the "little finger side" of the wrist. Darn thing has been hurting for over 2 months now. Doc says rest it. Guess I'll be doing squats for a while since I can barely lift anything with my hands!
RE: Poll: Help the Lynx - Weightlifting injuries (Lynx100)

 Mis, its been added.
