Weightlifting really doesn't burn that much fat, just builds muscle. The only real way of burning fat is with cardio. 3 hours is no where near enough. You need just go basically into a cutting phase. Do two weeks of intense cardio. That should get off most of the fat. Then start lifting weights and going back to 3 hours of cardio a week.

As far as i've seen witrh what I hear, my experiences, and other's experiences Cardio will NOT severly lower your existing LBM, but attempting to do intense cardio like I described while doing weight lifting is just stupid and a waste of time.

Step two: Ask yourself "Am I serious about bodybuilding? Do I really want a good physique?" If you answered yes then EAT LOTS OF PROTEIN.
Protein is THE key ingredient in building muscle.

Step three: Go back to the main forum and look for the sub-forum called "Nutrition". Although the posters in there include people of all ages, at this point in our lives, adult nutrition and teen nutrition are pretty similar. RE-post your question there and say you are a teen.

Nutrition Help (dasteve)

Hey, i'm new to the forums and i want to say how glad i am that i aint the only teen body builder out there. Lol, i have never met anyone my age that is as dedicated to working out as i am. And finally i have found a way to get some help concerning my nutrition. Ok, heres my problem :

Year and a half ago i must have been about 35% bf, 5 ft 2 and bad eating habbits. Mostly i just ate carbs but still bad. I got into body building when i was about 15 1/2. Didn't really care less about my nutrition just wanted to pump weights. After about about 9 months, i sorted out my nutrition and did around 3 hours intensive cardio a week. I have lost 90% of the weight i wanted but now i want to make sure i have my nutrition sorted.

I've read alot of articles on the web about minimum protien. I ended up taking 1500-1800 calories a day, with 150 grams of protien covered ( loads of tuna ). After a couple of weeks i noticed that my bowl would destroy a country if used as a biological weapon against mankind. (not to meantion i used to feel drained). Then about a month ago i started eating less protien but abide by the caloric intake ( 1500- 1800 a day ). Now i feel great but kinda afriad to jump onto the scales.

The type of diet i need is something that will assure bf loss but maintain LBM. Can anyone help me with this?
