And I still see gains.

RE: Need serious help regarding pecs (k0rupt3d)

i have the same prob u cant fell it so i get on the fly machine and put it to like 100 and get a friend to help u get both thingys in front of u and do small in and out motions like open it like 4 -5 inchs and bring it back in i garentee ull feel it after so come sets of that

RE: Need serious help regarding pecs (The Sheep Man)

no matter what i bench my arms are shakey, but everything else is stable

RE: Need serious help regarding pecs (Pennsylvania Jock)

cpl, are you sure you should stop when your arms start shaking? Whenever I bench heavy my arms shake, but everything else stays still. I've had no injuries either.

RE: Need serious help regarding pecs (cpl)

Go untill positive failure meaning don't keep going unless you can properly complete the rep with correct form

This is very important- Shaneo, you mentioned the burn, and to tell the truth that has nothing to do with making progress. When Trick2 mentioned correct form, he means it- As soon as your arms start to move out of position, get shaky, if you feel your back trying to squirm underneath you, or your shoulders try to slide out of place- Put the weight down, you're done with that set. Proper form is proper form, don't deviate from it, and stop when you can't keep going with proper form. That's how a set's done right, and that's the best way to great gains with minimal risk of injury- Don't chase after that burning feeling, or the pump- Those things aren't indicative of gains at all.

RE: Need serious help regarding pecs (Shaneo)

Thanks alot trick2stroke thats the info I was looking for. Use a weight that you can atleast pump out 4 reps with but no more then 8 per set. Go untill positive failure meaning don't keep going unless you can properly complete the rep with correct form but don't quite if you can do anymore unless your at 8 reps. If you can still pump on or two out then up the weight slightly.

RE: Need serious help regarding pecs (The Sheep Man)

I have same problem, my triceps feels like molten lava before i feel it in my pecs... Maybe i need to work out my tricps more first so they can handle the more weight my chest desires?

RE: Need serious help regarding pecs (Shaneo)

Perhaps the word burn wasn't used right, I don't feel tired in my chest at all when I'm doing it or after. I haven't busted out the measuring tape but I'm sure that its around 22 inches. I've been reading this forum all day and other websites and some books on weightlifting I bought and I think I might have found my problem. Alot say do sets of 4-6 or 6-8 reps. Now I was under the impression that the more reps the better, so I've been doing say 50 pounds for 25 reps at a time. Is it better to do more weight with fewer reps or more reps with less weight?

RE: Need serious help regarding pecs (andy)

Mine never do they just get pumped and they grow.

RE: Need serious help regarding pecs (Gun Ryo)

 Should it actually BURN?
