Though my goal is to stay around this % of BF.

I recently picked up Lacrosse, boxing again and BJJ. And I run around 3-4 miles 4-5 times a week, so yeah. I was cutting for awhile but I was actually gaining weight while getting leaner. I have been up around 210, I was 209 in the avatar pic. I think naturally I probably wont get much bigger at this % of BF. Though on this deficit, my strength has also jumped through the roof, been pulling new PR's constantly.
Re:opinion and bodyfat (IBendBarbells)

Yeah I am def not 5%. More like 8%

Look pretty good Nmoney, You are pretty lean man. Quads look great btw. Back looks pretty awsome also. What's the future goals anyways? Just gonna focus on strength now?
Re:opinion and bodyfat (Nm0ney34)

haha, man have I come quite a long way. This is an OLLLLLDDDD thread, lol. I was just updating it for my own reflection mostly.

I want to really get back into focusing on speed, strength and increasing my lifts.

And my web cam is horrible, i was just looking, all graining and crap. lol.
Re:opinion and bodyfat (steveninthematrix)

strength .....

power is defined as speed+strength...

which is why many recommend heavy volume dynamic work; ever done any?
Re:opinion and bodyfat (Nm0ney34)

Updating for fun,

I actually feel like I hit a big wall lately with strength, and for the life of me I can not get bellow 200 pounds unless I drop water weight...it is ridiculous.

I dont know what % I am here, but I am weighing in at 203. The week after I took these I ended up flushing water out to try to drop water weight and I actually got to 199..lol...

I think all the drastic changes are gone for me, I think I look the same, just a little more defined and less BF. I took 3 pics, 2 poses 1 semi relaxed and just threw them all into one jpeg.

comments, insight, advice, complaints are all welcome. These are exactly at 205 apparently. So apparently I need to drop more to get to my BF% goal, so Ill see where things are at 200 when I get there.

its funny though because technically the only thing that has changed is 2 lb's from before form 207 to 205...not really much physically has changed accept for I figured out how to flex my ab's and really make the top two stand out.

its weird because I thought I knew how to flex my ab's...but apparently I didnt, or maybe I did...who cares, either way they look much better this way...rofl...
Re:opinion and bodyfat (Nm0ney34)

Its funny you say that because I am playing safety right now in my flag football league, it comes naturally to me and I like it. Receiver is still a passion though, I guess Ill see how things go...hell I may not even make it, lol.

as for JMBS's post, what I will be doing soon will mimic a program used for football a little more then the 5x5 programs I am used to, as for everything else they usually do a good amount of plyometrics and sprints/cardio. Which is what I started to do awhile ago and am going to be focusing on now much more.

I mean if I make it on for something I make it, if not its not like im banking on this or anything. Its simply a goal that im trying to accomplish.

I just know how important speed and strength are, and lowering my bodyfat has helped me so much with my agility and speed. So this is sort of clashing 2 goals...1.) im doing it to make myself faster and quicker 2.) I want to be strong and fairly lean, Im not really in it for the bulky look but I want people to look at me and think of an athlete. but then I also want to be able to back up the looks with performance...make sense?

anyway thanks guys
Re:opinion and bodyfat (connelly)

I'd put you around 12% right now, you look pretty lean with just a little extra stomach fat..basicly where I am right now and i'm at 13, although for some reason I think you are a little leaner than 13..not a great guesser though. For some reason I think you should play safety, size could be an issue at OLB, there are some HUGE ass dudes playing D1.. you played semi pro WR right? That would be an option, speed isn't as important as you would think, if you can consistantly run sub 4.6 and have pretty good route running/hands you could be great as a receiver, possibily tight end except your a little small, safety seems like a really good choice to me, but I would focus more on speed/strength than size for safety atm..seem a little different build than most HB's. But i'm not going to tell you you can't do something because of your size, i'm standing at 5'8" trying to go D1, so that would kinda be hypocritical..although hopefully I can grow a few more inches. BTW OLB is such a fun position, so if you think you can that would be a really fun position to play, I love it.

Re:opinion and bodyfat (JMBS)

N$,
Have you explored whether there are any good sports training (football specific) forums out there? Do you think your balance of resistance training compared to field drills or whatever they're called is typical of a football player or do you perhaps spend more time in the gym than they do? What's a typical player's day like, and are you duplicating that? Did you play in high school?

Re:opinion and bodyfat (Nm0ney34)

lol...thanks guys.

I have gotten much faster and agile since I dropped some weight, my knee's are still bothering me some due to my cleats. I just bought some shock absorbing insoles to help.

Once I get to 10% I want to set a timeline for myself to get to around 8% or so so I can then adjust my diet back around.

I dont think im at 10% yet, why I wanted some opinions im usually terrible at guessing my own bodyfat and other people are better judges then yourself most of the time anyway.
Re:opinion and bodyfat (cody)

YOu are looking beastly bro. I have dropped quite a bit of weight and wanted some more opinions, I want to see how close I am to 10% you guys think I am.

also please throw in a crtiique of what you think I need to work on, besides traps...because I know they are lagging. And while its not an immediate goal for me to "bodybuild" up lagging parts for asthetic purposes, it would be nice to know what other people feel I should work on for a later time.

One pic is taken at night in a diff room/lighting and one immediately in the morning, same webcam. The one at night was on a no carb day, one in the morning is after a moderate carb day if that matters at all.

Trying to get a feel for where I am at now so I can estimate exactly how long I need to "cut" further before I bump my calories up some to a more maintenance level and really focus on power and speed.

Thanks guys.
Re:opinion and bodyfat (IBendBarbells)

Naturally.
