I am 5'2 1/2'', and underweight at 83lbs.

I have come to this website in search for tips tricks and everything else in the field of body building.

Due to being under weight my family has started to worry about me and I have agreed to eating more, A LOT more. In doing so I decided I didn't want to gain all of my weight in Fat I would much rather Gain it in Muscle. So about 2 weeks ago I began a new diet I have constructed not only for building muscle but speeding my motabolism because I have a very slow one? So I am posting this to ask for any advise in growing in muscle and being healthy with out being another Obese kid on the planet.

This is how I currently eat:

1. Breakfast:
~~Protein Pancakes~~

- 1/2 cup rolled oats
- 2 egg whites
- splenda
- cinnamon

     -or-

~~Protein Omelet~~

- 1-2 whole eggs
- 1/4-1/2 cup diced chicken
- 1-2 slices Kraft Singles Cheese

Snack:
- 1/2 BIG100 Preferably Protein bar
- Maby a Shake(Protein)

Lunch:
~~Buffalo Burger~~
(Less fat, More Protein, Tastes whole lot better)

- Cooked Patty
- Slice of Kraft Singles Cheese
- Lettus
- Topped with Ketchup

    -OR-

~~Sandwich~~

- 1-2 Slices of whole grain/wheat bread
- 4-8 slices of Delimeat (preferably turkey, and chicken)
- 1 slice Kraft Singles cheese
- 1/4-1/2 TBS. Miracle Whip

Snack:
- 1/2 BIG100 Preferably Protein bar
- Maby a Shake(Protein)

Dinner:
~~Buffalo Burger~~
(Less fat, More Protein, Tastes whole lot better)

- Cooked Patty
- Slice of Kraft Singles Cheese
- Lettus
- Topped with Ketchup

           -OR-

Any kind of chicken, spaghetti, regular family dinner unless feed for self nights.

I try to eat as much protein as I can but my mom only supports me in buying Bars and Shakes. I pretty much have to read labels and come up with things to put together with lots of protein.

I have a small Stomach so its hard for me to eat a lot of food.

I have about 6 Different Kinds of Protein bars in my freezer that I am testing to see if I like for future reference(around 20 bars total). I have a Large Medicine Bottle sized Jug of Creatine, I have Protein shake mixes(Chocolate and Cookies'n'Cream)

I also take 2 Mega Mens daily vitamins everyday(If I remember)

As for training, I do a Full bowflex workout every-other day along with about 5 sets of as many as i can do push-ups. 3, 15 minute sets Sit-ups Everyday, Ride trainer as fast as I can go that lasts 15 minutes, 2x a day.

Could anybody help me as to gaining weight in muscle and getting the right diet for it?

All help is apreciated

~~Thanks, Kris142~~

Diet looks pretty good, you could probably use a bit more carbs though. Oatmeal, brown rice, potatoes, whole wheat bread without high fructose corn syrup, etc. Also, you weighing it at 83 lbs means you most likely don't have a slow metabolism lol, but then again you are 5"2 1/2.

I would drop the creatine, just focus on eating whole foods and not so many protein bars. Get some whey protein to take after your workouts and try not to do tooo much cardio as you are trying to gain weight.

I hope you get to a healthier weight as that does seem pretty light for any male your age.

Good luck!
New to DB and need help (kris142)

  Hello everybody,

This is my 1st post to the website.

I'm a 14 Y.O. male living in Calif. and I race motocross.
