The same girl I mentioned above can do sub 19:00 5k. Crazy people. I'm considering entering a sprint tri in the fall and that finishes with a 5k. It'd probably take me 35-40 minutes right now.

RE: 4 mile race (Godzmarine)

My last 3 mile was 20 minutes. I started sprinting hills instead of distance running to keep my muscle.

RE: 4 mile race (HuPhleungPu)

I just ran in a 5k race on Friday and finished in 34:25, which I was happy with. But I'm in the 25-29 age group and the 1st place was in something a little over 15 minutes, he beat everyone in the race by about 3 minutes though.

RE: 4 mile race (rippedchick)

So is the OP going to tell us what his time was?

RE: 4 mile race (The Sheep Man)

ORIGINAL: rippedchick

ORIGINAL: connelly

ORIGINAL: The Sheep Man

I can do a 4 min mile

really?you do any regional/national races or anything a 4 minute mile is like the point where running becomes your job right here.
uh i have a 6 flat mile and at my 5k pace i'd have like a 28 minute 4 mile..

He's joshing ya.

Correct.

I run quite slow. I would say i'm closer to 9 min mile on long distances. Working to get my 5 km down to 20 minutes.
RE: 4 mile race (Beefcake)

strong amounts of cortisol in this thread lol. jk ;)

RE: 4 mile race (Solomon Grundy)

My jogging route is a little over eleven miles. It takes me 95-100 minutes to finish.
RE: 4 mile race (rippedchick)

 My girlfriend's brother can run a 4:16 I think.
