One last quick question.

Does it matter if i do lounges with a barbell or dumbells? Besides the whole grip issue, the only place I see it really mattering is in the ab core area. But does it really make that much of a difference?

Ive done lunges with barbells and dumbbells. The only difference ive seen is that I can't do heavy/ low rep lunges with dumbbells because I would need to hold on to 90lb dumbbells in each hand. Most people do higher reps for lunges though, and in that case it wouldn't matter imo.
RE: Replacement for different squats (mriggy)

Thanks for all of the advice :. The cleaning really limits how much you can get up. You could also just hang dumbells to squat.

Replacement for different squats (mriggy)

Not what you think, I would never get rid of squats :)

Ok I'm doing NROL fat loss 2 and my gym has no squatting rack, they have a squating machine which is kind of hard having good form doing a front squat.

Can I do a front squat with dumbells(if yes how should I hold them). Is there a good replacement for a front squat?

Thanks
