If you are doing cardio, while it is there for your cardiovascular health you are going to be burning calories.

You'll need to do some math, figure out how much your burning while doing cardio and compensate by adding more calories to your diet.

If you fail to do this you will gain stamina have a healthier cardiovascular system...but wont get bigger.

ORIGINAL: ranger20

ORIGINAL: NBSFighter

Do as much cardio as you want. The only catch is that you have to account for the extra calories lost

i.e. burn 500 cals on the treadmill, consume 500 more calories that day.

x2

you just need to eat more than you burn

RE: how much cardio do i need to be doing if i'm trying to get bigger (vdk_au)

I'm only started to include cardio (Beep test 1x a week) simply because for health reasons. My endurance is quite bad, and I get puffed easily. Probably I'd say 1-2x a week.

RE: how much cardio do i need to be doing if i'm trying to get bigger (NBSFighter)

ORIGINAL: boomersooner1331

you just have to eat man

Seems like 3 out of every 4 of your posts I see basically involve you telling the person to eat in one way or another lol
RE: how much cardio do i need to be doing if i'm trying to get bigger (boomersooner1331)

you just have to eat man

RE: how much cardio do i need to be doing if i'm trying to get bigger (David1991)

for just general conditioning try HIIT 2-3x a week (depending on how many days you workout)

RE: how much cardio do i need to be doing if i'm trying to get bigger (ranger20)

ORIGINAL: NBSFighter

Do as much cardio as you want. The only catch is that you have to account for the extra calories lost

i.e. burn 500 cals on the treadmill, consume 500 more calories that day.

x2

you just need to eat more than you burn
RE: how much cardio do i need to be doing if i'm trying to get bigger (NBSFighter)

Do as much cardio as you want. The only catch is that you have to account for the extra calories lost

i.e. burn 500 cals on the treadmill, consume 500 more calories that day.
RE: how much cardio do i need to be doing if i'm trying to get bigger (Wetdawg)

IMO none. Actually a 5-10 min warmup then lift. Wait as close to 12 hours away from your lift time, then do cardio.

WD
how much cardio do i need to be doing if i'm trying to get bigger (inflimaira1021)

I want to start doing cardio to increase my stamina and overall energy.
