Like everyone is saying start up is high for a home gym then there is the issue of space.

RE: Where do you lift? All I have at home is a pullup bar which can be easily installed in a door frame.

It would be cool to have a home gym, but I think I can get to know more people in the gym. Not that I talk so much when I lift, I socialize with them after lifting.

as far as money goes a home gym would be much cheaper in the long run

Well, the startup cost is sooo high.

yea but lets just say it costs $2000 to get everything needed. squat rack, dumbells, bench, etc.... (thats completely an estimate but im guessing its close) i could see it being less.
a membership at my gym is $30 per month if ur there for 3 years or something like that. so really within 5-6 years it "pays for itself" and after that ur just saving money. most of us plan to workout much longer than 6 years i'm sure
RE: Where do you lift? And we ended up taking them back because not only was it a hassle to change the weight at times, it would get stuck. I'd just need a dippng station and a pullup bar, and then I'd lift at home because of convenience, privacy, and EASY access to food right when I finish.

However, my mom would hate it since she gets scared after you do anything 100+ pounds

RE: Where do you lift?
