(TheSilverFox)

i agree.. hst looks like it might work well for you

however.. i believe the problem you're dealing with is more due to your diet/lack of calories instead of the "routine" you are doing.

you gotta eat bro. then, with proper training.. your body will distribute the weight all over the place and you'll grow grow grow

RE: Confused... My first few months was more a learning experience because I wasn't dieting right and was skipping days and wasn't lifting hard but I'm happy I did all that because now I feel like I learned a lot.

I have a good diet now (eat like triple the amount of food that I used too), lift hard, and am looking fora routine to stick too. I figured that I would try the HST routine then after that see how the results are and maybe go for strength.

The only problem I currently have is not having a spotter. My friends don't lift seriosuly and all they do is arms (no joke) not one other body part and won't lisen to me and my dad does cardio and doesn't go as often as me so that leaves me with nobody as a spotter. Once I fix that problem I'll be starting my HST routine.

PS - I hate asking all these stuckup juiceheads at my gym to spot me ; )

haha i used to hate doing that too. i used to be a fat guy and i wouldn't have anyone to spot me because everyone in the gym didn't really like me for some reason.

i just started lifting, and kind of letting that fuel my fire, and i gained respect from them. after that they started talking to me and stuff, and now i work out with a guy i used to hate
RE: Confused... I weight about 150 lbs and have an extremely low bf%. Anyways obviously I'm looking to gain weight and've been lifting for months and went from about 130-150 but I am still cut and smaller then I would like.

My problem is finding the right routine. I mean my main goal is size for now but should I do something like smoudzous HST Training Routine or just stick to starting strength or a mass building routine ?

Anyways any help would be greatly appreciated because I want to start my new routine tommorow.

how many months?

you can't really expect to get huge in just a couple of months. it takes time. the best thing to do is stick to a routine that works for you. too many people quit working out because they don't get jacked in a year or two, and they just simply quit.
RE: Confused... (Wyrms)

I'd agree but only to an extent.

Every morning I wake up and have 2 or 3 whole eggs and 4 egg whites. Yolk has its place in the world but if overdone with all the saturated fat and bad cholestrol, then it could potentially lead to a problem - especially if you have a genetic predisposition to high cholestrol levels.
So I advise taking egg yolks in moderation, but don't go crazy about it.
If one day you have like 5 whole eggs because you don't have anymore eggs to crack and scoop the yolk out of then go nuts. lol
RE: Confused... (Daniel265)

i agree with wyrms except if u are trying to gain weight u should be eating whole eggs!! just trying to help, the yolk of an egg has 1/2 half the protein and alot of vitamins. eat whole eggs and drink whole milk. dont eat just eggwhites

RE: Confused... (Wyrms)

I think HST is perfect for you. If you don't want HST then DEFINITELY do full-body workouts. They are highly recommended and have shown to provide more results.

My advice:
1. HST
2. Eat. Lots of meat, lots of pasta, lots of oatmeal, lots of veges, lots of fruits, lots of milk, lots of yoghurt, lots of egg whites. Eat like a man. At your bodyfat % it's the best thing to do.

Even after eating like crazy for say 8 weeks and you haven't so much as gained 4lbs or you simply find the food hard to get down, then I'd recommend investing in a Mass Gainer supplement.
RE: Confused... (packers4)

I was thinking of just doing Starting Strength Routine again but this time I'll eat more and do it correctly and I should gain some size with strength. But I was going to add some isolations since the normal routine wouldn't be enough.

Confused...
