(RedJeep)

You can definetely deadlift three times a week and be fine.

RE: Split w/ deads/squats, check it please.... (brihead301)

I'd be careful deadlifting 3 times a week. Heavy deadlifts can be very taxing on your body and can lead to.....dare I say it....gulp....overtraining. Seriously.

Try squatting either 2 or three times a week and deadlift every other workout or once a week even.

Deadlifts are much more taxing then squats, which is why you can squat 3 times a week and be okay.

Try Rippetoe's routine:

Workout A:
squat - 3x5
OH press - 3x5
deadlift - 1x5

workout B:
squat - 3x5
bench - 3x5
power clean - 5x3

You can add chin-ups and dips and the end of the workouts too if you'd like.

Just alternate between workouts A and B, lifting 3 times a week. Add weight to all lifts every workout, and it starts to get REALLY hard after a little while.
RE: Split w/ deads/squats, check it please....
