I honestly have no idea, but it's LOW.

I'm 5'8ish 127 for a rough estimate?

cant judge by just that because idk how much muscle you have, would need a picture. If you are 6-8% you are one raily person lol

Haha, yeah. I'm not sure though. There's nothing really to grab on my stomach or anywhere rly. My stomach gets kinda bloated though. I don't think it's fat, but it's awkward.
RE: Oblique routines at home (RollingStone)

ORIGINAL: Pssst

ORIGINAL: RollingStone

ORIGINAL: Pssst

What's the lowest possible BF%? Should I just do these exercises between sets of other exercises? Thanks for the input!

I dunno if it's bad or not, but my routine lasts around 55 minutes, so any extra work would be too long.

I don't buy into the whole "you have to finish your workout in less than an hour" idea. So what if your testosterone levels dip a little towards the end of your workout? That's why you do your heavy lifts first. I don't think knocking out some abs at the end of every other workout is going to hurt your gains. Between my workout, my HIIT cardio and my abs (after the cardio) I was in the gym for almost 2 hours the other night. Felt great too! I think someone else mentioned to shorten your rest periods as well. Not a bad idea, you could probably easily shave off 5 to 10 min. from doing that and that's plenty o' time to get some abs in.

not to mention your delving deeper into a catabolic state with no food or protein in you...unless your drinking a shake during the workout.

I'm not suggesting he workout 2 hours, I usually keep my workout to 1 1/2 hours or under. And no I'm not drinking a shake during my workout. I usually pop some BCAA's right before and then drink my shake right after I'm done. I guess if I was bulking I'd be more worried about it but I've been losing weight and getting stronger so I don't have too many complaints atm. I'm sure there's validity to the keeping your workout duration reasonable, but I think its probably a little overexaggerated much like the idea of "overtraining".

well true i guess its not like youre gonna start losing muscle if you train for over an hour, but you always hear about the "window" right after your workout where you wanna get food in as fast as possible to kickstart the recovery process. The longer you stay in the gym, the more that window is closing.
RE: Oblique routines at home (MDClifter)

ORIGINAL: RollingStone

ORIGINAL: MDClifter

ORIGINAL: Pssst

I don't really wanna stick in a bunch of ab workouts at the end of my routine. But ya, I dunno what Pssst's BF% is like but if you want your obliques to "really show" trimming the BF is going to do a lot more than just targeting them with ab workouts (not saying you shouldn't work them out, but getting nice and cut is what's going to show them off).
RE: Oblique routines at home (RollingStone)

ORIGINAL: MDClifter

ORIGINAL: Pssst

I don't really wanna stick in a bunch of ab workouts at the end of my routine. Well, I tried the twisting situps today on a decline, and for some reason, I felt really sick after. I think I drank my shake 30 mins before working out. Couldn't finish the rest of my ab work because I felt bad.

Should I drink my shake earlier, or cut these out entirely?

We do have a glute/ham machine, but this lady was hogging it, and I didn't feel like asking since I felt bad anyway.
RE: Oblique routines at home (rippedchick)

 http://www.exrx.net/Lists/ExList/WaistWt.html#anchor1944764

Lots of ideas there.

RE: Oblique routines at home (Pssst)

I'm not sure if I have a glute/ham machine or not.
