Fish oils I have no problem with but flaxseed ones are kinda irritating. &lt;br&gt;   &lt;br&gt;  I also stopped taking flaxseed and started taking only fish oils because essentially they're very similar except Fish oils has more omega3s than omega6 (and vice versa), but the human body demands more omega3 than omega6 from what I've been taught. &lt;br&gt;  &lt;/blockquote&gt;  &lt;br&gt;   &lt;br&gt;  Flaxseeds are high in ALA, which is an omega 3.&amp;nbsp; Fish oils are high in EPA/DHA, which are also omega 3's.&amp;nbsp; From what I have read, ALA is only utilized by the body through conversion into EPA/DHA, and it is a poor conversion rate at that.&amp;nbsp; Therefore, you're better off&amp;nbsp;taking something higher in EPA/DHA. &lt;br&gt;   &lt;br&gt;  And the ideal&amp;nbsp;consumption rate&amp;nbsp;is a 1:1 ratio of omega 3 to omega 6.&amp;nbsp; It's just that the typical diet (typical American diet anyway &lt;img src="http://www.discussbodybuilding.com/upfiles/smiley/s4.gif" alt="" /&gt;) gets anywhere from 20:1 to 50:1 of omega 6&amp;nbsp;over omega 3. &lt;br&gt;   &lt;br&gt;   &lt;br&gt;  And as far as how much to take, there really is no limit.&amp;nbsp; I've been taking 2.1 grams of omega 3 a day (that's of omega 3, NOT 2.1 g of fish oil.&amp;nbsp; There is a difference.) but I plan on upping it to 3g a day if my budget allows it. </description><link>http://www.discussbodybuilding.com/fb.ashx?m=396981</link><pubDate>Wed, 25 Jun 2008 10:26:03 GMT</pubDate></item><item><title> RE: Fish Oil ?
